Hi, I'm Olena – an independent accounting and FP&A consultant working with small and mid-size companies across the US. I help business owners get clean, reliable financials they can actually use to run and grow their business.

My clients get more than a bookkeeper. They get a finance partner who understands the full picture – from daily transactions to strategic forecasting – and who speaks both accounting and business language fluently.

With 15 years across Vodafone, Samsung, and earlier accounting & finance roles, I bring the kind of financial discipline and cross-functional instincts that most small businesses never get access to. I'm a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor – and genuinely excited about AI-native accounting. I'm actively deploying these tools and love helping forward-thinking clients be among the first to benefit.

My story

01

First steps in accounting — Kyiv, 2009

I graduated right into the 2008 financial crisis. My Ernst & Young internship was cancelled, but I landed at Darnytsia – one of Ukraine's oldest pharmaceutical companies. Day-one reality: GL postings, bank recs, FX, month-end close. The lesson that stuck wasn't the accounting – it was the discipline. Clear processes, cross-team coordination, work ethics. I was learning what separates companies that scale from ones that stall.

The accounting backbone of non-financial teams

Early in my career I worked embedded in Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams – not in a finance department. That changed everything. I learned that finance lives in every deal, every campaign, every hiring decision. To be useful, you have to speak the language of the people making those calls. That's a skill most accountants don't have. I do.

Vodafone – data becomes a story

Six years in telecom – from operations to business analysis to FP&A – taught me how recurring revenue, churn, and retention economics work at scale, long before SaaS made those concepts famous. I built budgets, forecasts, quarterly benchmarks, and countless reports and presentations. I learned that the real job of finance is storytelling: translating numbers into decisions people actually act on.

Samsung & United States, 2022

At Samsung I saw what world-class financial discipline looks like across a global subsidiary network. Then, when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, I relocated to United States and started fresh. I got certified as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and launched HMCS – because US small businesses deserve the same financial clarity that Fortune 500 companies take for granted.
